What you need to know
1 Jornal = 2190 m2 : And old land unit measure which is still sometimes used. It can be very variable according to the area.
Land with water: This is usually water for irrigation and not drinking water. Sometimes you have your own well or you can share with others.
Plot of land with olive trees: The great majority of land has olive trees in production. A grant from the European Union is avaialable in some properties. This grant can sometimes be tranferred to the new owner, depending on the agreement.
Splitting a plot of land: If you have a large rainfed plot of land it can be split.
Build a well: To build a well you need permission from the village and from the Autonomic Government.
Connect mains electricity: To connect mains electricity in to a rainfed plot, you first need permission to build a house or if you have a house, you will need a certificate of habitation.
Build a swimming pool: To build a swimming pool on a plot of land you have to apply for a water storage tank (balsa), otherwise the town hall will not give you the permission.

Plot of land: Land without a building. Permission has to be applied for from the town hall.
Plot of land with a ruin: Plot of land with a small stone ruin to reform. Usually, the roof is in a bad condition and needs to be rebuilt.
Plot of land with a country house: Small stone country house in a rustic plot of land. The building is in a good condition but usually needs some restoration.
Country house to reform: Mid-size country house to restore. Usually, it is a brick built building, not a stone house.
Country house ready to live: Most country houses are only legally recognized as a warehouse (almacen). It is not usually possible to get a mortgage on these properties.
Farmhouse to reform: Old stone farmhouse to reform. Normally they are in a bad condition and need a lot of work.
Farmhouse ready to live: Old stone farmhouse ready to live. Normally, they have mains electricity and mains water.
Town house to reform: Old town house to restore within a village. They have mains water and electricity.
Villa: Ready to live in and legally classed as a habitable dwelling. Mortgages are available.
